My first 2 days on the farm are now almost over, the people are really very nice, Thomas, a German chef and Cheryl his girlfriend, provide me with good food and a nice room. AND lots of work, I did lawn mowing on a little scooter like machine, good fun!
I worked a field, and the stones on this field with the pick axe, or did they work me?
I drove the Bulldog even with a trailer on, which I never did before.
I used the wheeteater to clear the stone cleared field form patches of grass and cow sh"", which eventually was throwen all over me by the wheeteater, but nevermind! I just took a hot shower!
We drove the Trailer in a river, to get rid of the stones, but lost the trailer in the river, got it back on without getting wet! I took quite a lot of photos, but can't put them on now, as they don't have a proper USB-Port, so I just will post them when I got back.
So far everything is well, but my muscles will probably be terribly sour tomorrow...
So much to my first days on the farm, it's nice, but I don't know if I'm going to do a month!
(Ohh and I will come back to Wellington, on the 1. Sept. for Sarah's birthday, keep the hot bath running, I'll need it!)

Lavender Impressions
At the moment I'm still at the Jewell's house, but I'm going to get a lift to the farm about lunchtime. I don't really know what is expecting me, but I hope it will be a good experience!
To get an impression on where I am, check out www.lavender-impressions.co.nz .
I don't know if I have access to the Internet there, so this might be the last entry for a couple of weeks, but as soon as I got on the Internet, I'm going to post new pictures.
For so long, thanks to Dyk and Noreen for letting me stay with them, I'm looking forward to come back!

My new haircut
As my hair unfortunately can't be hindered from growing, I decided it was time to get it cut!

Before and after the haircut.
Actually I wanted it just shorter, but to keep the shape, well my hairdresser/barber (I can't tell the difference) was one of the "I tell you afterwards what I did..."-kind a guys. Nevertheless, I think it looks alright, but I didn't shower it by now, and it always looks totally different afterwards... so here is the NZ-Version of my hair:

Back in Wellington
I'm back in Wellington since Wednesday, and will stay here until next Wed.
The wind was blowing quite a bit, yesterday, but today is really nice and sunny.
Yesterday was the surprise-wedding-anniversary-party for David and Jane (friends of the Jewell's), they had quite a variety of nice food and a lot of nice people to talk to.
Today we started of at 10nish doing a walk through the bush, up to Johnsonhill, and down again, took us about 3 hours, a bit muddy at times, but a great view from Johnsonhill, and a great tuna sandwich on the bottom.

The party and the food.

Different view's from Johnsonhill.

Our walking-group.

The Johnsonhill landmark and the way downhill.

My week in Dunedin
My week in Dunedin is now almost over, and I really enjoyed my time here.
I've seen quite a bit of town so far, I went to a 21st, I was allowed to do some filming on Cow-TV, visited the Speights Brewery, the Cadbury factory, I saw a unbelievable old PC, I went to the Art Gallery, the Settlers Museum, the trainstation, the uni of course, to a real Party-Debrief, I climbed the steepest Street in the world, I met a lot of new, nice people, of course saw Jen again, and I met Sam, who just returned from Scotland.
Really enjoyed it staying with Jen and her friends, thank you very much or that!
Pictures from my stay are posted below:
