A mild winter

This winter is pretty mild, temperatures ranging between 6 and 20 degrees, sunny or rainy weather, not much potential for really wintry feelings...

Last weekend, my Grandparents visited us, they came from Thailand, where they visited my Grandaunt. It was really good catching up with them again. Here are a few pics I took on a little walk, down by the river. As you can see, it was really warm that day, I suspect something over 15 degrees...

At least there's snow in the mountains, and equipped with new skis and ski boots, my brother, mother and one of her friends went up the Zugspitze (Germany's highest mountain) to go for a few hours of nice weather skiing. Really nice and sunny, but heaps of people there, heaps of Dutch and Italian people, packed lifts and way to many beginners on the fields...

The trip was quite an adventure, after we just got our car back from the garage, again, we had to stop at about quarter the way and get a tow truck, as the car broke down again... never mind, we got a rental car instead...went faster anyway!

Just to keep you updated on my application progress, I handed it in, and I'll get the results approx. about mid may...

As you can probably see on one of the photos, I got a new haircut, and, especially for Noreen, who thinks I should either build a shrine for my old sneakers, or burn them, I got a new pair of sneakers, I still haven't decided what to do with my old ones, but I guess my mom will just chuck them if I wait long enough. Maybe my new ones are on a picture at some stage!

A night out in Wasserburg

Yesterday night I met up with a couple of my friends. Good to catch up on all the stories and news!
A really nice evening, even though my favourite bar in Wasserburg closed down...
Here a couple of, really blured photos:

I don't really like the theme of the bar we went to, but they always have free tables there and they showed champions league!

End of my NZ Blog.

With me being back in Bavaria, this is where I'll put my stories and pictures from NZ on a hold, for now. Nevertheless, I won't let you down and continue blogging.
But I'll change the headline, so here one last time, the old headline:

Stay tuned, for more!

A Barbie and Farewell

They day before I left, the Jewells organized a BBQ, with most of the Morris and Walking people. I got really cool farewell presents, more infos on Dyk's blog!

On Monday, unfortunatley I had to leave. My flight left at about 8:30 in Wellington, and I arrived in Munich a day later around lunchtime.
My surfboard was lost along the way, it's still somewhere in London, apparently it will arrive in a couple of days.
LAX Security was not too bad this time, but I almost missed my flight out of Auckland, I was already on final call when I arrived in Auckland, had to run over to the domestic terminal and pretty much run through the security and customs (luckily there was almost noone) and of course my gate was the most remote of all, well nevermind, I made it just in time.

Three of the Jewells and the last glimps of Wellington.

I had a really great time in NZ, again, I'll really miss everyone, especially Noreen, Jen, Dyk and Sam of course, but also all the others that helped me and made me have a really awesome 7 months. "I'll be back...", either as student or tourist (another one of those bloody germans...)!
I'll keep this blog updated (probably not quite so many entries), so stay tuned!

An 81rst Birthday

So, yesterday was the big day. All went very well, I had a lot of fun, only my hangover today really isn't fun at all!

Here a couple of pictures from preparing the party, and from the party itself:

It's a really nice venue, and I think the black and white theme worked quite well!

The Party:

As you can see, heaps of different people, and it seems everyone had fun.
